The Arrival of Our Hand-Picked Gyokuro – Japan’s Most Exclusive Autumn-Released Tea
We are honoured to present one of Japan’s most prestigious and valuable Gyokuro teas, available exclusively through Kanoa Tea.
This Gyokuro is hand-picked once a year in early spring from a single tea garden in Shizuoka, where every tender bud is carefully plucked by hand. Such traditional harvesting now accounts for less than one percent of Japan’s total tea production, making this tea exceptionally rare even among Gyokuro.
After the spring harvest, the leaves are gently matured throughout the summer — a deliberate process that allows the tea’s natural sweetness and umami to deepen. Only in autumn is the tea released for shipment, when its flavour has reached a state of perfect harmony and balance.
Each leaf is so pure and delicate that it can even be eaten after brewing, lightly seasoned with salt or ponzu — an experience that reflects the exceptional quality of this tea.
Through our exclusive partnership, Kanoa Tea holds the sole rights to this hand-picked Gyokuro.
