Each tea in this set reveals a different dimension of shaded cultivation and GABA-enhancing processing — from deep umami to refreshing brightness and creamy smoothness.

• ASAHI 50g: Elegant, refined, and lightly sweet — a gentle, premium cultivar.

• TSUYUHIKARI 50g: Bright, fresh, and aromatic; a lively expression of GABA Gyokuro.

• MATSU (Powder) 10 x 1,5g: A smooth, fine-milled powdered GABA Gyokuro — ideal for a wellness ritual.

• KUKI 50g: A stem-rich, comforting variety with a round aroma and light sweetness.

Together, they create a five-part sensory journey through Shizuoka’s shaded tea craftsmanship.

GABA Gyokuro Five Collection

A premium GABA Gyokuro set featuring five varieties: MANTEN, ASAHI, TSUYUHIKARI, MATSU and KUKI. Experience calmness, depth and refined umami.

* One of the highest quality Japanese tea varieties, which, through shade cultivation, has a high amino acid content and a rich umami flavour.
** GABA (Gamma-Aminobutyric Acid) is an inhibitory neurotransmitter in the brain. It has been demonstrated to calm the nervous system and regulate excitability, sleep, and anxiety.

  • First Infusion (50-60°C)

The tea’s sweetness and deep umami come to life, creating a smooth and luxurious first sip. Steep for 2 to 3 minutes.

  • Second Infusion (65-70°C)

The flavours deepen, introducing gentle vegetal notes with subtle savouriness. Steep for 1 minute.

  • Third Infusion (75-80°C)

The final steep reveals a richer, slightly astringent character, finishing with a lasting, satisfying aftertaste. Steep for 30 to 45 seconds.
